We’re located at Mile 47 of the Parks Highway (Alaska Route 3), just outside downtown Wasilla. Look for signage near the turnoff and follow the gravel road directly to the museum entrance.

Free on-site parking is available, with dedicated spaces for RVs, school buses, and ADA accessibility.

Most guests spend 1–2 hours exploring, but you’re welcome to stay longer and enjoy the full grounds.

Both! We have a large indoor gallery and an expansive outdoor display yard with trains, vehicles, and special projects.
Is the museum family-friendly?

Is the museum accessible?
Yes. Our main gallery is ADA accessible and we offer reserved parking near the entrance. Some outdoor paths may have uneven ground.

You’re welcome to bring water or light snacks. We have picnic areas, but food isn’t permitted inside exhibit spaces.
Are pets allowed?
Only trained service animals are permitted indoors. Leashed pets are welcome on the outdoor grounds.
